Neighborhood Association Newsletters will not be mailed for the next 5 months. The City has announced that there are no funds for printing and mailing neighborhood newsletters until at least July 2010.
If you have email, please, please, sign up for the electronic newsletter by sending an email with your name to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . If you receive the electronic newsletter and can print a copy for neighbors without computers, that would be incredibly helpful.

Your participation at our meetings has become vital to our success. We will continue to post our meeting notices and news on our web site and provide it to the City to post on their site. We welcome ideas on how to service those residents who are homebound or unable to access the Newsletter via internet.

Sincere Thank You to our Holiday Party gift benefactors. Your gifts & prizes made the ending to a wonderful day of community, meeting new neighbors and friends. The young music-makers from Catalina High and Wright Elementary 3rd Grade choir added just the right merriment and spirit for everyone. Young and old enjoyed the detailed face painting by Lisa Sieglaff & Bill Washburn. Many, many thanks to our business supporters for gift donations from Collision Specialists of Tucson, Famous Sam’s, Midway Molina’s Restaurant, Pep Boys, Point of Sale Specialists, Profit Enhancement Group, Lisa Maher and Scholastic Book Fairs, Village Inn Restaurants. Congratulations to the lucky winners also.

Alvernon-Grant Initiative (AGI) meetings: 2nd Tuesday each month @ Emerge, 6:30 p.m., 2425 N. Haskell (just off Grant across the street from the Alvernon Walgreen). Surrounding neighborhoods met with Tucson Police Dept. to target and resolve neighborhood issues.

Election of Garden District Association Board members for the new term will take place at the February 16 meeting.
Pride of Ownership Whether you are a homeowner or a renter, if you take pride in where you live, we would like to recognize your efforts. A committee has formed to honor the Garden District Gems, homes that show attention to cleanliness, safety and attractiveness.
